Speakers will include Richard Wheeler, National Trust Gardens and Parks Curator, and Oonagh Kennedy, Regional Curator, National Trust Thames and Solent Region

We will consider the origins and history of the wilderness, as well as the sources and principles on which restorations or recreations are based. In the afternoon we will look at the restored 17th-century wilderness in the Ham House gardens.

Richmond (Waterloo, District Line, North London Line) then Bus 371 (see below).
By Bus:

Via towpath on the south side of the river
By car:
Ham House is on the south bank of the Thames, west of the A307, between Richmond and Kingston.
